Stacker Distribution SystemFor 2012, Liquid Systems has made some great enhancements to the Stacker Distribution System range. We now have manifold configurations for both planters and air seeders, single and dual systems. Terminal configurations are available for low and high rate applications for air seeders and planters. Section Control (Swath Control) configurations are now also available for Topcon and Greenstar controllers delivering even greater efficiency. We have also introduced new and improved rubber unions, line meters and a universal bracketing system for Stacker manifolds. Liquid Systems Stacker is the most thoroughly researched and carefully designed liquid fertilizer distribution system on the market today. Liquid Systems has been improving the design of its distribution system for over 11 years and with the latest Stacker system we believe we have all the answers for distributing liquid fertilizer precisely and evenly to each row. The Stacker Distribution System complements Liquid Systems Pump & Control Modules to provide the most precise and even distribution of liquids to the furrow of any product on the market today. Stacker is a pressure based system giving the best control when injecting liquid into the furrow. Our own range of manifolds, line meters, terminal jets and check valves provide optimal precision, ease of use and even distribution across the bar over a wide range of application rates and operating parameters. The New Stacker Distribution Brochure wil be coming soon.
NEW MY12 'Stacker' Manifold Assemblies The core of the Stacker Distribution System is a number of interconnected Stacker Manifolds. Their large bore size ensures even pressure to all outlets. They have been designed to give the installer total flexibility for system installation on tillage bars. Each manifold can support up to 24 outlets, however generally the system is configured with one manifold per section of the tillage bar. We have a new series of manifold assemblies to further enhance the evolution of our products. We have singles (pictured left), duals (pictured centre), conjoined, 50/50 (1/2 system shut-off) (pictured right) – all with custom stainless steel universal mounting assemblies for fitting to air tools and planters. Manifolds now feature stainless steel top covers.
Terminal Assembly Configurations With the enormous variety of tillage and seed tube configurations on the market today, Stacker provides a flexible set of components that will work with all of them to deliver liquid precisely where it’s needed. For MY12 we have a number of terminal configurations. We have developed systems and components to cater for high rate and high/low rate combination requirements in Canada and for spring tines and dry seeding conditions combined with low application rate requirements for Australia for almost any possible situation. Standard (Pictured Top Left in Middle) Our standard terminal configuration for MY12 systems eliminates the old terminal jet. In its place we have opted for a push-in solution (8mm X 5mm reducer assembly) in combination with our newly developed LLDPE ‘Blend’ 5.0mm X 2.5mm terminal tubing. This tube size provides strong terminal streams whilst providing a push-in solution for easy assembly and maintenance. We recommend housing the 5.0mm LLDPE tube within 9.5mm OD x 1.63 wall (6.24mm bore) opener tubes strategically located on/to the points/disc openers assemblies. Our new V4 Rubber Unions facilitate this adaptation. Low Rate (Air Seeder) (Pictured Top Left on far Left) For low rate applications, fitting to ¼” stainless opener tubes you can use our earlier V3 Rubber Unions, terminal jets and 3.0mm OD X 1.8mm ID terminal tube. High Rate (Air Seeder) (Pictured Top Left on Right) For high rate application, fitting to ¼” OD stainless steel opener tubes, you can directly swage fit our 8.0mm LLDPE delivery tube. Standard (Planter) (Pictured Left Centre) For up to 38 GPA at 30” spacings, we have a push-in solution with an 8mm x 6mm reducer in combination with our newly developed LLDPE ‘Blend’ 6.0mm X 4.2mm terminal tubing. Dual Assembly example mounted to a point (Pictured Left Bottom) Left assembly is for Low Rate in the furrow and the right assembly is for High Rate, side band.
Implementing section control can deliver enormous efficiency gains in both land use and liquid product application, particularly with irregular shaped paddocks. Interface to prescription mapping systems for the ultimate in liquid control with our optional tool mounted Section (Swath) Control Modules. Currently available in up to 6 sections. Each STACKER manifold of the distribution system is fed independently via its own section control valve which is turned on and off according to field data / mapping regime requirements.
For 2012 we have remodelled and added 4 new line meters to our range to cater for the US planter market and high rate requirements for air tools in Canada. Modifications include:
The new line meters are manufactured using our brand new precision ‘automotive industry standard’ tooling. Quality and process control has been updated to the highest industry standards. Tooling is also underway to extend this range by another 4 - due for release late 2011.
Check Valve Upgrade Our MY12 Check Valves are an LQS designed component that allow lines to remain charged with liquid during breaks in application. They now feature product identification and batch coding insignia. All check valves are assembled using a torque wrench to accurately set the tension on the cap and diaphragm assembly. The new Check Valves are manufactured using our brand new precision ‘automotive industry standard’ tooling. Quality and process control has been updated to the highest industry standards. In addition to our current 8mm delivery tube, we are releasing new 5mm and 6mm terminal tubing for the 2012 season. Our unique LLDPE ‘Blend’ tubing is extruded to exacting tolerances and has been formulated to provide UV stability, a hard wearing outer surface and the ability to be manipulated into tight radius situations without crushing. 5mm - black with yellow stripe 5.0mm OD X 2.5mm ID — The 5.0mm has been introduced to facilitate easier system installation and maintenance on our air seeder systems. The bore size of this tube provides good stream control and eliminates the requirement for terminal jets. 6mm - yellow with black stripe 6.0mm OD X 4.2mm ID tubing — The 6.0mm tube is being introduced specifically as a dealer sourced retro-fit for planters. It is a push-fit and passes through the larger 12.75mm X 10.0mm stainless steel opener tubes that are common to these units. This tube size permits rates up to 38 US GPA at 30” row spacings to be applied while still delivering good stream profiles at low application rates --- (essential if clients are contemplating applying inoculants, fungicides etc. via furrow injection).
New V4 Rubber Unions
Induction Filter Assembly We have now introduced a brand new stainless steel universal mounting assembly for all our single swath (standard) distribution systems. Adequate filtration is of primary importance in maintaining open lines to all rows. Stacker’s 80 mesh 2” line strainer ensures any loose particles in the fertilizer solution are captured to prevent blockage or impairment of flow in the delivery lines.
Pressure Gauge Each Stacker system comes with a Liquid Systems custom made 316 stainless steel 8 bar (116 psi) pressure gauge to monitor system pressure at the manifolds. Each gauge comes with its own stainless steel mounting bracket for fixing to the tractor. Optional on Section Control systems.
