2010 IS STAINLESS STEEL AND MUCH MORE FOR LIQUID SYSTEMS (SA)
Our continuing research & development programs have resulted in even more additions and refinements to our entire product range.
PUMPS

Application rates and ground speeds are generally much lower in seeding operations than those experienced in spraying & quite often extremely
low flows at relatively high pressures are the norm.
Cavitation (the formation of bubbles or a vacuum within a liquid) is a phenomenon that can cause severe heat problems that can result in pump seal
failure & cause other undesirable side effects. This can be experienced with high shear type pumps that are often vigorously promoted on the market.
Such pumps can cause foaming (especially when surfactants are involved) & can even change the properties of a liquid under severe circumstances.
Microbial liquids especially, can be quite vulnerable.
If considering a high shear pump be aware of the cavitation phenomenon & also the correlation between pump speed, volume & pressure. Always request
to see the performance curve pertaining to the particular pump that you may be considering.
Piston Diaphragm Pumps are the real weapon of choice for liquid fertilizer injection as they provide such a wide operating range in terms of rate
& pressure. Because they are positive displacement, they will not cavitate..
Correctly installed Piston Diaphragm Pumps provide powerful, smooth, pulse free operation & because they utilize valves to eliminate back flow, are
not as prone to system surging if being utilized with mechanical dosing devices.
All pumps for our new 2010 Range are LQS Enhanced. We fit speciality items to our Piston Diaphragm Poly Pumps to enhance an already proven & excellent
product. (See our Home Page / Keep up with what is new).
Our LQS Enhanced piston diaphragm pumps can be mechanically connected for multiple liquid application regimes or alternatively, hydraulically series
connected with either manual or electronic individual pump isolation. All LQS Enhanced pumps for 2010 feature speed sensors so that pump rpm. is visible on
the control monitor.
Mk5 VRC VALVE SET

The valve set has undergone continuous refinement & now features an external flush mechanism that is located behind the master (shut-off) valve. This
allows the metering system to be flushed from an external clean water source without fear of diluting product in the main fertilizer tank. The optioned
Mk5 also features a pressure transducer so that system operating pressure can be monitored on screen.

Pressure Gauge to monitor operating pressure for system analysis & an external flush port to enable purging of the metering system from a remote clean
water source. The A-i70 module houses a full rate control system utilizing a custom TeeJet Regulating Valve, 801 Flow Meter, 460 Shut-off Valve &
numerous custom designed components.
Suction tank agitation & all necessary hose kits with tank isolators are standard.
The Liquid Systems (SA) Dual Liquid Rate Controller comes standard with this Module. The monitor now displays pump rpm. as a speed sensor is now also
standard on the LQS Enhanced Pump.
The A-i70 cabinet & all associated fasteners & fixings are Stainless Steel.
SPIKER EVI can be series coupled to this module with no requirement for extra hydraulic flow.
STAINLESS STEEL A-i120 PUMP AND CONTROL MODULE

The new 2010 Liquid Systems (SA) A-i120 is a single pump, single auto-rate combined pump & control module. It features an LQS Enhanced hydraulically
driven Bertolini 2136 (126 lpm.) poly pump with custom flow block that ensures that maximum rpm. is not exceeded.
The pump & associated pressurised plumbing is protected by a tamper proof safety valve coupled directly to the pump, prior to the control valve set.
Primary filtration is via a fascia mounted 2” X 32 mesh suction filter.
Other fascia mounted components include a selector valve to source either product or clean water - (for system purging), a custom 316 SS pressure gauge
to monitor operating pressure for system analysis & an external flush port to enable purging of the metering system from an external source.
The A-i120 module houses a full rate control system utilising a custom 460 TeeJet regulating valve, 801 flow meter, 460 shut-off valve, pressure
transducer & numerous custom designed components.
Suction, tank agitaion & all necessary hose kits with tank isolators are standard.
The Liquid Systems (SA) L2 dual liquid rate controller comes standard with this module. The monitor now displays system operating pressure & pump
rpm. as these function are now incorporated into the valving & pump assemblies.
The A-i120 cabinet & all associated fasteners & fixing mechanisms are stainless steel. A-i120’s can be series coupled for dual liquid operation without
the requirement for extra hydraulic flow.
SPIKER EVI can also be series coupled to this module without the requirement for extra hydraulic flow.
STAINLESS STEEL G-22 DUAL LIQUID SYSTEM
Ideal for double tank liquid carts - complete, all in one system.
The Stainless Steel G-22 module houses two LQS Enhanced Bertolini 2136 (126 lpm) poly pumps. These pumps are connected in tandem via a spider element
coupling and driven by a single high torque, low speed hydraulic motor fitted with a custom flow control block that ensures maximum recommended pump
rpm. is not exceeded.
Also housed in the module are dual LQS Mk5 auto-rate valve sets. The system offers full variable rate control from the tractor cab via the Liquid
Systems (SA) L2 screen. Alternatively the system can be adapted to work with other rate controllers such as John Deere & Topcon. Separate wiring
harnesses from most manufactures are available to suit.
Primary filtration is via 2 X 32 mesh 2” fascia mounted suction filters. The module also incorporates 2 X fascia mounted selector valves to switch
between product & clean water (for system purging). Tank rinse function is standard. Isolation valves & cam-lock adaptors are included on all required
suction & return lines. Agitation & tank kits with all associated plumbing are standard.
SPIKER EVI can be series coupled to this module but requires a rate controller with a third liquid channel. This is the Rolls Royce of liquid
systems!
STAINLESS STEEL SPIKER EVI

SPIKER has been specifically designed for the direct injection of high viscosity fluids such as trace elements, fungicides & soil wetters. These liquids
are sometimes difficult to pump & can cause compatibility problems with some tank mixes. SPIKER allows the operator to inject these products into the
main delivery line via a controlled venturi/pressure mechanism prior to the distribution manifolds.
The Stainless Steel SPIKER cabinet houses a hydraulically driven LQS Enhanced Bertolini 20/25 piston diaphragm poly pump, 12V electric precision
auto-rate valve set, filtration & associated plumbing. The SPIKER pump & supporting hardware is designed to accurately meter ultra low flow rates of Zn,
Mn, & Cu as well as fungicides & soil wetters. Where variable rate technology is used SPIKER can maintain a constant rate of trace element injection
even if the liquid fertiliser is changing, ie. UAN.
For fluid carts with an existing Liquid Systems (SA) pump module the SPIKER can be hydraulically series connected without the requirement for extra
hydraulic flow. A pre-set flow block sandwich is provided, the sandwich section being positioned under the standard flow block that is mounted atop
the hydraulic motor that drives the pump on the pump module. The sandwich is connected to the SPIKER via the hydraulic hoses that are supplied in the
kit. The sandwich has been factory pre-set to deliver a flow of oil to the SPIKER motor ensuring that the pump rotates at approx. 600 rpm. SPIKER
operation can switched off if not required via an isolation valve located in/on the series sandwich. Suction, tank agitation & all necessary hose kits
are provided.
The unit does not come standard with the L2 rate controller as the system can be controlled using the second channel in our Liquid Systems (SA) L2
rate controller. The SPIKER can be interfaced to other rate controllers provided that they are capable of processing a Cal. factor of 6,000 PPL.
